26 March 2007
On 2 February 2007, Cashbox announced that it had received expressions of interest which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company. The discussions were at a preliminary stage and Cashbox stated that there could be no guarantee that any offer would be made.
The Directors have now concluded that the none of the discussions were proceeding as rapidly as the Board would have liked and accordingly the Company has ceased talks with the parties concerned. The Board can also confirm that it is not aware of any potential bona fide offerors. As a result, the Company would no longer be deemed to be in an offer period for the purposes of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
