Further to the announcement on 13 February 2007, the Board appointed a Non-Executive Director to complete an investigative review of the circumstances surrounding the share dealings by Carl Thomas. On 20 March 2007, Carl Thomas was dismissed without notice as CEO, director and employee of Cashbox plc and all its subsidiaries with immediate effect after a full disciplinary process. Carl Thomas has a right to appeal against this decision, however at the present time no appeal has been received.

Chairman Anthony Sharp has executive responsibility for an interim period until a new Chief Executive is appointed and a search will commence shortly.
