Cashbox, the independent ATM deployer, today announces that Anthony Sharp has stepped down from his role as Chairman and resigned as a Director of the company. Anthony has been with the company since 2004 and in his role as Chairman was instrumental in the Company’s IPO and in arranging the recent Bank of Scotland re-financing and overseeing its recent growth. He is leaving Cashbox to focus on his other business interests.
John Maples, currently a Non-Executive Director of the Company, becomes Chairman John brings with him a wealth of business experience relevant to Cashbox, including being Chairman of ATM operator Bank Machine Ltd from 2003 until it was acquired by Cardtronics Inc in 2005.
Mr Maples is currently the Member of Parliament for Stratford-on-Avon and the Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party and was a Treasury Minister in the governments of both Margaret Thatcher and John Major.
Anthony Sharp, commented:
“Having installed an experienced management team and with funding secured to drive the business forward and accelerate the Company’s growth, now is the appropriate time to hand over the reins.”
